Groundworks
Our contracting division was established over 30 years ago, which has allowed us to build up extensive knowledge in this sector. With such organised management and dedicated workforce, we are able to undertake contracts up to 2 million pounds.
Previous clients have ranged from regional housing developers, regional building contractors and local authorities. We pride ourselves on client retention, forging relationships and offering the same enthusiastic service for repeat business as we do for opportunities with new clients.

Sewer Connections
We are Welsh Water approved Contractors and work directly for developers, contractors and commercial businesses alike.
For most of the sewer connections we undertake, we are responsible for the planning, pre-inspection/enabling, liaising with the Highway Authorities and other stakeholders such as local businesses and residents, raising street works notices and permits, identifying and organising traffic management requirements, backfilling and final reinstatement.

Civil Engineering
With over 30 years of experience in Civil Engineering and Groundworks, we have the knowledge and the experience to carry out all aspects of any size Civil Engineering contract.

ACCREDITATIONS
Working safely is paramount, and to underline this Ian O’Brien & Son currently hold CHAS and ACCLAIM accreditations.
To obtain these, a rigorous application procedure is completed, detailing company processes, procedures, training and recent accident records.
In addition, the company has the benefit of an external health and safety consultant to advise on legislation changes and developments within the industry. As a minimum, all operatives have CSCS qualifications, Additionally plant operatives hold CPCS qualifications
